Puppies Have Arrived

We are excited to announce that LLL “My Sweet Rose” and “My Boy Rebel’s” Litter have arrived. Of course, we stayed home all weekend in anticipation of their arrival but alas, our girl thought that 1:00 am on Monday suited her schedule better. We are all just glad the litter was whelped with absolutely no complications!!!! YAY!!!!! Kudos to Rosie, she was a champ, 5 pups in 37 minutes. All you mommas think about that.

There is some chaos in the house as River thinks Rosie had these pups for her. You can imagine what a ruckus occurred when River thought that she might pick up one of Rosie’s pups and move him to her bed. NOT happening!!!1 Fur was almost flying. We have had to get creative when life is going on as pups are raised underfoot in our home. We were able to configure a pen around the whelping box so Rosie can have more privacy with her pups.

As I sit here typing, I can hear little squeaks as momma is cleaning babies. Every so often she comes running out of the pen to get a quick pet and then runs back to her charges. She really is the perfect mom. We have decided this to be her last litter as the next litter in 2025 will be River and 2026 would make Rosie a geriatric mom. I think her work is done so if you are partial to a Rosie pup this is your last chance. With Love To the girl that made us fall in love with this breed.
